DONALD PUCHACH Suddenly on December 7, 2005, after a brief illness, Don passed away, the day of his 80th birthday. He is survived by his brother Boris Puhach (Olga), Lavinia Aftanas (Ron), Audrey Stefanyshen (Steve) and sister Marjorie Bridgeman; his three daughters, Carol Collignon (Rod), Diane Rybak (Frank), Tracy Proskie (Keith) and two grandsons, Reece and Aaron Proskie. Don was an avid outdoorsman, just waiting for the changing of the seasons so he could head out with friends and family members hunting and fishing and then coming home and telling stories of the big one that got away. Parkinson's took its toll on Don and for the first time in his life he had to depend on other people to provide for him. He moved into Concordia Place nursing home in January 2002 where the staff and residents accepted him as family and a friend. A very special thank-you to uncle Steve and his brother and sisters for all their time and patience in helping and guiding Don through the time in his life when his health prevented him from being the independent spirit that he so wished to be. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with interment and reception to follow.
