Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALVIN W. PILLER It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Alvin. Peacefully in the arms of his wife, with his loving family by his side, Alvin Piller passed away on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 71 years of age after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 45 years, Ruth; his daughters, Carol (Jim), Susan; sons, Curtis (Carol), Steven (Janice); and grandsons, Mathew and Michael and many friends. Alvin will be remembered as a very kind person who always put everyone else first. Dad's love and devotion to his family was immeasurable. There will always be a void in our hearts but a lifetime of wonderful memories for this very special husband, father, grandfather and friend given to us by God. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Our family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Harris and the staffs of CancerCare at the Grace Hospital, and Palliative Care at the St. Boniface Hospital. Many thanks to Pastor Bruce Martin for all of his support during this very difficult time. In lieu of flowers, a donation in the memory of Alvin may be made to the Christmas Cheer Board, P.O. To Aunt Ruth, Carol, Susan, Curtis, Steven and families, We were so sorry to hear that Uncle Al had passed. It seems like yesterday when Terry and I would trade places for a while in the summer with Carol and Susan. Uncle Al was a great RatRace player. I think he always won! I won't forget how wonderful he was to us kids. Just know that we are thinking of you. Janny - Posted by: Jan, Johnny & Ryan Yarshenko (Family) on: Dec 12, 2005
