She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, her parents Robert and Florence Bartleman, brother David and nephew Garry. Edith is survived by niece Gail MacLean and nephew Don Bartleman. Edith was a very loving and kind person with a great gift for detail and keeping up on the latest news. She loved spending summer days in the yard with Bill, having lunch and enjoying the flowers and birds. They enjoyed taking day trips in the country, as well as trips across Canada and overseas. Edith and Bill also loved sports, supporting the Blue Bombers and the Winnipeg Jets for many years. Edith was a school teacher with Winnipeg School Division No. 1, where she had a great gift to relate to children of all ages. She retired from teaching in the year 1978 then enjoyed many happy years with Bill by her side. She had a very strong will which allowed her to survive hip replacement, a stroke and breast cancer. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of B-Wing at Middlechurch Nursing Home for their care and support.
