NANCY (AGNES) MCILWAIN KEDZIORA 1915 - 2006 Nancy (Agnes) McIlwain Kedziora died in peace on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Stanislaw Kedziora and her younger sister May Lazowska, whose family she lived in close contact with for a major part of her life. She was the last survivor of the large and exuberant MacIlwain family of Glasgow, Scotland. She, her husband and daughter immigrated to Winnipeg, MB in 1948 where she eventually resumed the teaching career that she had begun in Scotland. She was a lover of language and words and taught French and Latin until she retired from the Winnipeg School Division in 1973. She finally ended her teaching career for good at St. Paul's College in Winnipeg. She moved to Calgary in 1997 where she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Maryska and Raj Gill and her three grandchildren, Paul, Kamni and Dave Gill. She faced the trials and tribulations of growing old, just as she lived her life, with indomitable spirit, a love of independence, a keen sense of humour and a joyful smile for all she encountered. A funeral mass will be held at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1566 Northmount Dr. N.W., Calgary, on Friday, February 3 at 10:30 a.m. Burial to be held at a later date at Assumption Cemetery in Winnipeg. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice if desired. HERITAGE FAMILY FUNERAL SERVICES Heritage Funeral Home Telephone 1-888-862-7448
