RICHARD (RICO) STENGEL 1960 - 2006 Died suddenly in Sturgeon Falls on February 3, 2006. Cherished husband and soul mate of Jesse Russell; devoted son of Arnie and Thelma Stengel of Seven Sisters, MB; precious brother of Sharon and Joe Lacey and Barry and Rhonda McLeod; treasured best friend of Patrick Brady; loving guardian of Kawae, Takuk, Chum, Minodae and Weewae; adored and very special uncle, cousin and friend. Last week, Richard proudly celebrated 25 years of service with Environment Canada. Employees of the Meteorological Service of Canada across the country are mourning the loss of their admired and respected colleague. Richard's quiet selflessness and dedication were his hallmarks. His subtle humour and charm touched us all. A sensitive, creative and analytical thinker Richard approached all challenges with the same understated determination - from gardening and soap-making to computers and car repairs. His spirit will continue to inspire us as we hold him close in our hearts. A private cremation will take place on February 9. A memorial service and celebration of Richard's life will be held in late spring. Cherished memories can be sent to uniquev@interlog.com.
