SHANNON LORI MACDONALD (nee Black) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shannon Lori MacDonald at the age of 42 years. Shannon passed away peacefully at home in Berwick, Nova Scotia on March 15, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. She spent her last days at home with her four children, her mother and beloved Greg. Shannon was predeceased by her father Stanley Gordon Black. Shannon was a beautiful woman with a spirit like no other and a smile that could light up a room. She is survived by her four children, Shane, Melanie (Curtis), Karly and Cody MacDonald, her beautiful baby granddaughter Hannah, her beloved Gregory Hammond, mother Evelyn Black, sisters Wendy (Clarence) Stefanson, Cindy (Clarence) Smith, brother Lindsay (Filomena) Black, ex-husband Dwain MacDonald, several nieces and nephews and dear family and friends. Our family would especially like to thank Greg Hammond for taking such good care of Shannon in her last few months here on earth. She will be forever loved and remembered. A memorial service will take place March 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Ave., Winnipeg. Many heartfelt thanks to Dr. Morzycki and nurse Heather at V.G. Hospital, Halifax, N.S. for their compassion and all their efforts. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
