DAVID ROBERT SMITH April 5, 1950 - March 27, 2006 Suddenly on March 27, 2006, David Robert Smith passed away at his home in Belair, MB, nine days short of his 56th birthday. David was born on April 5, 1950 in Saskatoon, SK. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 33 and 1/2 years, Gloria; daughter Stacey and husband Dave and grandson Little man Lucus. In addition, he is survived by his sister Sharon and sisters-in-law, Dawna (Kevin) and Glenda as well as nephew and nieces and cousins whom he loved dearly. Dave was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Sylvia Smith. In his early years, Dad enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with not only his friends, but his family as well. We spent many summers on or near the lake, enjoying the catches of the day. Living at the lake was his dream come true. David spent many years as a sales man, at various companies. Most recently he went to work at Ackland-Grainger for the CN division, where he loved talking to the other staff and sales reps. Dad was a loving, honest, and generous man who cared for, and will be greatly missed by his many friends who are too numerous to mention. We wish to thank all of the nurses and staff in the peritoneal dialysis unit at St. Boniface Hospital, especially Josie, who always knew what Dad needed. Family and friends may drop-by for a gathering at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. and Navin Road, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba, 730 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8. We will always remember the way you laughed, The stories you told, And the guidance you gave. We will always know the friendship you shared, The sacrifices made and the example you were. What we will always feel is your love! GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
