ANNA MARIA GRUGER August 29, 1922 - March 28, 2006 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Anni on March 28, 2006 at Whitemouth Personal Care Home at the age of 83. Anni is survived by daughters, Eva-Maria (Mike) Ruf and Hannelore (Hans) Wutschke; grandchildren, Sylvia (Robert) Savoie, Reiner (Wendy) Ruf, Gerry (Sara) Wutschke, Cindy (Bob) Lesuk and Sabina (Merl) Dillabough; great-grandchildren, Stefan, Sean, Elyse, Colton-Lee, Justice, Delaney, Amelia and Jolene; and sister Hedwig Riedel of Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Heinz in 1988. Anni was born in Germany and came to Winnipeg in 1953 with her family. She was well known for her German baking. Anni was a member of the Kolping Society for over 50 years at St. Joseph's Church. Anni loved spending time with her family and playing bingo. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Whitemouth Personal Care Home especially Heather for their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Thursday, March 30 at 8:15 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Mountain and Andrews with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Parrenas as celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anni's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
