Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONA LEBLANC (née CARRIER) 1910 - 2006 Peacefully surrounded by her family on April 7, 2006, Leona passed away at the age of 95 years at the Chalet Malouin in St. Malo, MB. Mom was born in New Bedford, MA on May 21, 1910. Leona was predeceased by her loving husband Albert in 1997. She is survived by her nine children, Noella (Ubald Desautels), Jeanne (Jean Bothorel), Rollande (Joe Grenier), Robert (Remona Goodman), Rita (Wayne Hayes), Julie (Denis LeBlanc), Paul (Shelley Leblanc), Laura (Ron Dyck) and Henri (Janice Leblanc); 30 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alphonse (Marie) and Raymond (Betty); sisters-in-law, Ruby Carrier, Jeanne Leblanc and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. M. Duplessis and the staff of Palliative Care in St. Pierre, MB, as well as the wonderful staff at Chalet Malouin and many supportive friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chalet Malouin, 14 rue St. Hiliare St., St. Malo, MB R0A 1T0. Prayers will be said on Thursday, April 13 at 10:30 a.m. in. St. Malo Parish, St. Malo, MB. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Marcel Chaput celebrant. Reception to follow in the church's lower level with interment to take place in Green Acres Cemetery.
