WILLIAM (BILL) HRYCIW It is with heavy hearts and deepest regret the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Victoria; his only son Barry (Marilyn); granddaughter Karleen (Brian), grandson Blaine; great-grandchildren, Kendra, Kole, Kane, Konner and many members of the extended family. Bill was born in 1929 in Arbakka, MB. Prior to his 16th birthday he ventured into the world to seek his fortune. Because, at that time, jobs were extremely scarce, Bill worked on various farms during the summer helping with harvest and during the winter Bill travelled to Ontario to cut pulp wood. In 1953 newlyweds Bill and Victoria settled in Stead, MB where he lived until his passing. For 34 years Bill worked in the trucking business eventually retiring at the age of 60. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was a warmhearted person, always ready to lend a helping hand and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Zeiler and the nurses at Beausejour Hospital and Clinic. Special thanks to Brigette, the home nurse, for her kind care and special friend Billy. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment and reception to follow.
