LUELLA JEAN FIELDS (nee SMITH) Suddenly, but peacefully, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Luella Jean Fields, at the Grace Hospital on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at the age of 76 years. Left with many fond memories are her daughters, Sheila Fields and Tracy Harder; son Sean Fields (Courtney Yendrowich); granddaughter Maggie Harder; son-in-law Richard Harder; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Luella was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Margaret Smith; and husband George Fields. Luella was a resident of Winnipeg. She retired from the Health Sciences Centre after almost twenty years of service as a Unit Clerk. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, reading, music and most of all caring for her family. A celebration of Luella's life will be held on Thursday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Viscount Gort Hotel, 1670 Portage Ave. Our family extends special thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion.
