Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUCE GRAHAM PATTON April 20, 1925 - April 10, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Bruce, at the Victoria General Hospital after a brief illness. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Nonie, of 59 years, daughter Michele and son-in-law Dexter Greenwood, son Rod and grandchildren Bret, Regan, Charlee and Randee. He was born in Ottawa and grew up in Winnipeg. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy, DEMS Branch, during the Second World War. He spent most of his life in Regina, working for Richardsons Securities, returning to Winnipeg after a stroke in 1993. He loved playing golf, curling and especially enjoyed their home in Fort Que'Appelle, SK. In tears we saw you sinking, we watched you fade away, you suffered much in silence, you fought so much to stay. You faced you task with courage, your spirit did not bend, but still you kept on fighting, until the very end. God saw you getting tired, so he put his arms around you and whispered come to Me. So when we saw you sleeping, so peaceful, we could not wish you back to suffer again. You didn't deserve what you went through so He took you home rest, Gods garden must be beautiful because He take the very best. In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a small family gathering will follow later. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital ICU, Victoria General ICU and the 5th floor for the exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba Inc., 1 - 333 Vaughan St., Winnipeg, MB or the Victoria Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
