ANTONIA MARIA RIZZO (nee BRAVAR) Suddenly, on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, Maria (Toni) Rizzo died at the Victoria General Hospital with her son Bruno at her side. Remaining to cherish her memory are her beloved son Bruno; siblings, Anita Brutesco (Otello) and Marino Bravar (Floriana) in Ottawa, Piero Bravar (Nina) in Italy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends whose lives she has touched over the years. She was predeceased by her husband Alfredo in 1969. Maria was born in Parenzo, Italy on July 4, 1921 and immigrated to Canada with her husband and son in 1956. She worked for a number of years at Midwest Industries, but was best known as a wedding photographer. In keeping with her wishes, Maria has been interred along side her husband in a private ceremony. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Those who knew my mother know that no one ever left her home hungry.
