ELIZABETH REID Suddenly on Sunday, April 23, 2006, Betty passed away at the Poseidon Care Centre at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her husband William Reid. Betty leaves to mourn her passing her cousin from California, who faithfully kept in touch with her, cousins in Scotland and long standing friends in the USA. Betty was a cheerful woman who loved people and made many life long friends. She had a great outlook on life. She bowled until she was well into her 80s and maintained her independence into her 90s. Betty volunteered with the St. Boniface Hospital, the C.N.I.B. and the United Way. She loved to travel and took many trips. Her cheerfulness and good humour will be missed by her friends in Winnipeg. Thanks to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and the Poseidon Care Centre for their care and compassion. A private service was held in Betty's memory.
