Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGWENDOLINE ELSIE OXENFORTH Peacefully, on May 2, 2006, surrounded by the love of her family, Gwen Oxenforth, our cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the Park Manor Personal Care Home at age 86. Gwen leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her husband of 66 years, Bob and her children, June (Abe) Klassen, Gary (Dianne), Al (Bev), Sharon (Ron Garlinski) and Gay Quinn; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and her brother Orville Vincent. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Ray and Les, and son-in-law Larry Quinn. Family was of utmost importance to Gwen, and playing Sorry with her grandchildren and trips to the beach gave her great enjoyment. In her younger years, her talents included playing piano and singing. Besides her family, Gwen always enjoyed her time visiting relatives in Grand Bend, ON, and vacationing down south in the winter months. Our family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the 2nd Floor staff of Park Manor Personal Care Home, for the care and compassion extended to Gwen during her stay. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Chaplain John Diamond officiating. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gwen's grandchildren, Mike Oxenforth, Ted Oxenforth, Jeff Quinn, Chris Quinn, Wendy Schultz, Grant Klassen and Randy Klassen. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations made to the Park Manor Personal Care Home, would be appreciated. God has you in His keeping, We have you in our hearts.
