ELEANOR MACKNIGHT September 23, 1920 ~ May 1, 2006 Peacefully, on May 1, 2006 Eleanor passed away at Misericordia Place at the age of 85. Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Belle MacKnight, and her sister Isobel Suter. Eleanor will be sadly missed by her cousins Arnold (Shirley) Lawson of Shoal Lake and Marion (Michael) Seary of Halifax. She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews, and especially missed by Cathy and Jenn. Eleanor was born and raised in Shoal Lake. She attended University of Manitoba and graduated with a bachelor of arts. She worked at Air Canada before returning to school to get her teachers certificate. Eleanor taught for over 20 years in Toronto at Alderwood School, and retired to Winnipeg in 1986. She enjoyed playing bridge, and spending time with her friends. A special thanks to the staff at Misericordia Place for their excellent care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 6, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. An interment and reception will follow.
