JOSE DE MEDEIROS September 9, 1915 May 6, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of José de Medeiros. José passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Health Sciences Centre. José lived a long, fulfilling and happy life and did not want anything more but being with his family. José was predeceased by his loving wife Rosa De Jesus. He is survived by his daughter Adelia; his son Joseph (Patricia); his grandchildren, Lorianne (Helder), Carlos (Jennifer), Joe, Shawn, Bradley, Adam, Kayla and his great-granddaughter Kianna; brothers, Joao, Guilherme and Paulo; sister Gilda of Portugal; numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. with Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. as Celebrant. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in José's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
