Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMASTER CORPORAL LAURIE ANN NANKA November 1979 May 2006 Suddenly, on May 1, 2006, Master Corporal Nanka passed on in Anchorage, Alaska while being posted at Colorado Springs, Colorado serving with the Canadian Military Forces, NORAD. Laurie leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, Bill and Joyce, sister Michelle; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues. Laurie attended St. Aldophe School, St. Norbert Collegiate, University of Manitoba. Accepted by the Canadian Military at Minto Armoury, then entered the Regular Force at Wing 17, joined the RCHA at Shilo, then posted at Colorado Springs at the Peterson Air Force Base. Her accomplishments have been enormous and outstanding; with an excellent outlook on life, work and play and it is sad to see such energetic life end. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Padre Lance Magdziak officiating with Rev. Fr. Bohdan Lukie, C.Ss.R. assisting. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made in Laurie's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3A 1P6.
