Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR STANBRIDGE Arthur Clacy Stanbridge aged 80 years, passed away May 7, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital. He leaves to mourn his sisters, Edith Peach (Martin) of Winnipeg, Joyce Stewart of Magnetawan, ON, and Joan Lomax (William Reece) of Sunridge, ON, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Archie and Freda Stanbridge, Grosse Isle; sister Bertha Stanbridge, Portage la Prairie, and brother Malcolm Stanbridge, Ottawa. Arthur received his education at Grassmere school. Because he was partially sighted, learning was a struggle for him. He worked with his father on the Grosse Isle farm until it was sold in 1963, after which he worked for his uncle, Frank Stanbridge until he moved to Winnipeg in 1970. He loved to travel and spent many winters with his sister Joan and her husband in Columbus, OH. He also loved country and western music, and he was an avid reader in spite of his poor eyesight. Arthur attended Grassmere United Church until he moved to Winnipeg where he was a member of Churchhill Park United. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12 at the Grassmere United Church. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of arrangements.
