MEREDITH ANNE GRAHAM-HACK It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother, Meredith Graham-Hack, on May 7, 2006 at Victoria General Hospital. Meredith was predeceased by her parents, Boyd and Nettie Tole and her first husband, Russell, and children, Barry and Lisa Graham. She is survived by her husband Merle Hack; daughters, Cindy Miller and Melinda Graham (David); grandchildren, Nicole, Billy, Russell, Jennifer and Jared; brothers, Wayne (Susan) and Bob (Dagmar); mother-in-law Marie, brother-in-law Gary and dear friend and sister-in-law, Virginia. She will be missed by her many friends at Summerland Apartments. Meredith was born in Cartwright, MB on August 6, 1940. Never one to shy away from an adventure, she lived in various interesting places, including many years up north in Churchill and Thompson, MB and a year-long adventure travelling in Europe. Tragedy struck in 1979 when a car accident took the lives of her husband Rusty Graham and two of her four children. Meredith remarried in 1984 to Merle Hack and began another series of adventures that took her to many northern First Nations communities where her husband was a teacher and administrator. That adventure ended several years ago when Meredith was diagnosed with COPD, a respiratory illness that prohibited her from being far from medical treatment. She and Merle moved into Summerland Apartments where she made many friends and enjoyed the social activities offered there. During her working years, Meredith ventured into many different areas, including writing and reading a series of children's stories on the radio in Churchill, social work in Alberta and Northern Manitoba, and financial planning and insurance work in Winnipeg. Many thanks to Dr. Sharkey for his care and compassion over the years and to the staff at Riverview and Victoria Hospitals. A private family service will be held. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
