GIUSEPPE DI GIOVANNI The son of Govanna and Vincenzo Di Giovanni, Giuseppe Di Giovanni passed away on Monday, May 8, 2006, at the Seven Oaks General Hospital at 8 o'clock in the morning. At the age of 87 years, the Master painter leaves behind a widow Simmone; two daughters, Vincenza and Denise; one son Giuseppe; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Giuseppe will also be remembered by his brothers, Carmello, Salvitori; and his sister Rita, having out-lived his younger sibling Antonia Minardi; along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom reside in various parts of Europe. Giuseppe's funeral service was held on Friday, May 12 at 10:30 a.m. in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Ave., (corner of Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue). Additional parking will be available in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. For those who wish, viewing will take place prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Honorary pallbearer will be Ebony Assefa and active pallbearers are Joe Morganti, Mario Di Pietro, Bob Alary and Elias Assefa. A special thanks to the pallbearers, Wojciks Funeral Chapel and those paying their last respects. Our family is very grateful to everyone who will remember Giuseppe Di Giovanni in their hearts and minds.
