LILLIAN GELMON With her daughter at her side, Lillian Gelmon passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Deer Lodge Centre. The youngest child of Ralph and Fanny Sugarman, Lillian grew up in Saskatoon, SK. In 1945 she married Morris Gelmon and moved to Preeceville, SK. Together they created a home where she devoted herself to the raising of their daughter Elaine (Lanny). Home, family and friends were at the centre of Lillian's life. She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be remembered for her dignity, quiet determination, positive outlook, love and concern for the well well-being of others. Lillian was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Fanny Sugarman; her husband Morris and her brothers-in-law, Abraham Gelmon and Max Duboff. She leaves to mourn her daughter Elaine; brother Jack Sugarman (Geraldine); brother-in-law Joseph Gelmon (Marion); sisters-in-law, Sarah Duboff and Laverne Gelmon; nieces and nephews and circle of lifetime friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 12 at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Arnold Barsky and Arthur Frankel. Pallbearers were Bernie Frankel, Harvey Frankel, Joseph Gelmon, Jeffrey Sugarman, Adam Rossi and Vittorio Rossi. Should friends so desire, a contribution may be made to a charity of one's choice.
