WAYNE EDGAR ELLIOTT Wayne Edgar Elliott died suddenly Sunday, May 14, 2006. The eldest son of Edgar and Catherine Elliott was 67 years old. Wayne's first notoriety was being awarded Winnipeg's second most beautiful baby of 1939 by the Hudson Bay Company..something he never let his family or friends forget. His service to others began as a Cub and then Boy Scout at St. Aiden's Church in River Heights. Eventually, as Scout Master he honed his sense of the absurd by producing many hysterical scout reviews culminating with The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies . This theatrical humour was sustained throughout his life. There was never a costume party where that he didn't win first prize. His career lead him to positions with various social service organizations in Churchill, Victoria and finally in Winnipeg at Deer Lodge Centre as Director of Volunteer Services. Wayne will be sorely missed by all. His is survived by his brother Dennis of New York City; cousins, Joan Cox and Dick Sulkers of Neepawa and Minnedosa; and niece Cheryl Creatore of Toronto. An informal service will be held on Friday, May 19 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deer Lodge Foundation, 2109 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3 or a charity of one's choice.
