ANGELA (NELLIE) STUPEN (PATRICK)
Date of Passing: May 17, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANGELA (NELLIE) STUPEN (nee PATRICK) Peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, Nellie passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 96. Nellie is survived by sons Don and Ron; daughter-in-law Joan and granddaughter Lisa. She was predeceased by her husband Joe; daughter-in-law Martha and parents. Nellie, as she was known to her family and friends, was special. She worked hard all her life and still managed to find time to help others. Throughout her lifetime, Nellie touched many people in so many different ways. She cared deeply for those that had fallen on hard times, be it through illness or personal circumstances. It was not unusual for Nellie to offer those in despair a place to stay, meals to fill an empty stomach or simply talking compassionately with the person. If the need was financial, Nellie would reach into her purse for whatever she could afford. In return, people would honor Nellie with their love, devotion and eternal friendship. That's just the kind of person she was and nobody dare change it. Nellie enjoyed the simple things in life. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and deeply cherished the love she had for her granddaughter Lisa. She was never far from her family in Toronto. Personal visits to the extent that they were possible and certainly those frequent telephone calls kept the family in close contact. Mom was never alone. Her loving son Don in Winnipeg was a constant companion and whose dedication and love contributed to Mom's quality of life, especially in the later years of her life. We love you Mom and Grandma. We shall cherish forever your loving and caring ways. The family would like to thank Dr. Gabriel who added years to Mom's life by keeping her in good health. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at The Maples Personal Care Home and in particular the staff on 2nd floor West for the wonderful care and compassion that Mom received. As well as staff of U5 on the 5th floor at the Seven Oaks Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Ash interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nellie's memory to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
