Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIDA CONDON With sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-mother, Ida Condon, on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband David and her son Douglas. She is survived by her son David (Anne); stepsons, Ralph (Rose) and Harold; grandchildren, Edward (Sharon), Nicole and Renee; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Mitchell and Lindsay. Ida was born in Alexander, MB on March 7, 1922. She moved to Winnipeg during the Second World War where she met and married David Condon. They lived briefly in Ottawa and then returned to Winnipeg in 1945. She lived on Magnus Avenue for many years until shortly before her death. Ida spent more than 30 years working for the Government of Manitoba. She was an active member and supporter of Shaunessy United Church for over 50 years. During her retirement she belonged to various seniors groups and always took great pleasure in reading and playing cards with family and friends. A memorial service and reception will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. (783-7211). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
