DHANPATI PATRAM It is with love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dhanpati Patram on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 77 years of age. Dhanpati was born in Siparia, Trinidad on April 5th, 1929. She was a very happy outgoing lady, who was always full of life and love. She was a proud parent and grandmother and relished in the accomplishments of her family. Dhanpati was predeceased by her husband Salick Patram and her parents. Left to continue her legacy are her two children, Moti (Germaine) and Shanti (Danny). Her memory will also live on with her grandchildren, Jewan (Shannon), Pamela, Wayne, Kynan, Shauna (Stuart), Marla (Don), Devi, Rishma (Anthony), Avinash (Shilpa), Vishera (Ryan) and great-grandchild Riya. She will be greatly missed by her nephews Surend (Hilly), Harry (Radha, Anu and Avinash), and her numerous relatives and friends across Canada and Trinidad. Service in celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 3:30 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care provided.
