NAN NEL CARR (nee BLENDICK) Peacefully, at the Victoria General Hospital on Tuesday May 23, 2006, Nan Nel Carr passed away at the age of 85 years. Nan is survived by her husband Mel Carr and two sons, Barry (Deborah), their two children, Andrew (Nicole), great-granddaughter Kristin and Amanda Colley (Mark), son Dean (Sherron), and their two children, Samantha Neyedly (Jon) and Tara Meadwell (Eric), great-grandson Kyle all of Winnipeg. Nan, was born in Siflon MB on July 31, 1920 to Anna and William Blendick. Nan was one of 12 children in the Blendick family and she is survived by sister Ollie and brother Walter. One of Nan's favourite pastimes was singing. She belonged to the church choir at Oxford United Church (Winnipeg), as well as The Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir for many enjoyable years. The Carr family wish to thank the medical staff at the Victoria General Hospital (fifth floor) for making Nan's last days both comfortable and peaceful.
