DAVID ALEXANDER ROSS Peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his 83rd year after a brief illness. Predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Eleanor. Survived by daughter Andrea Duncan and her husband Malcolm and son Duncan Ross and his wife CJ. Proud Grampa of Benjamin Jackson Ross. An eighth generation Canadian, Dave was the son of Harold Rusty Ross whose pioneer Scottish family was involved in the building of Winnipeg. Dave served Canada as a Lieutenant in the 8th CDN Reconnaissance Regiment 14th Canadian Hussars in the Second World War from 1943 to 1945. 38 year employee of Royal Trust Company of Canada in Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Hamilton and Toronto. At Dave's request, no services will be held and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
