Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJENA STRONG October 26, 1946 - May 27, 2006 It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of their beloved mother and grandmother Jena Strong, who quietly passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at her residence following a heart attack. Jena (Grannie-Bear) will be forever remembered by son Shawn Scovil (fiancée, Kristin Harrison), granddaughter Kadee (Kadee-Bear), brother John Towers and his family, and cousin Anne Geiger. Jena was a strong and independent single Mom. She worked for Canada Customs for over 20 years influencing many along the way. Jena loved to travel inspite of difficulties with Fibromyalgia. Not only did she suffer from Fibromyalgia but was an active part of the support and education group to help others live with this also. She was a loving mother and devoted and wonderful grandmother. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a reception to follow. Thank you to all her friends and family for the support given to Mom over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jena's memory to the Diabetes Association or the MB Heart Stroke Foundation.
