SHELLY IRENE CROSS (nee BENNINK) May 18, 1954 May 30, 2006 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, my beloved wife, Shelly, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Remaining to forever cherish Shelly's memories are her husband Bill of 19 years; their four legged pal Buddy ; her parents, John and Lil; sisters, Barbara and Roberta; parents-in-law, Geoff and Hilda; brothers-in-law Steve (Pauline) and Andrew; sister-in-law Diane (Kevin); and Shelly's best friend Heather (Johann); along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Shelly was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, where as a young girl she loved to roller dance and bowl. She spent many happy hours in the great outdoors; camping, playing or watching sports and most Thursdays and Saturdays you could find her at the BINGO hallwinning of course. For ten years, Shelly was employed at EH Price, until she left to pursue her passion in caring for others, where she acquired her certificate as a Health Care Aide enjoying her work at the St. Boniface Hospital until injury and illness prevented her from doing what she loved most. Shelly's funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3 at 1:00 p.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St. with Pastor Larry Ulrich officiating. Our family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview Health Centre 3East. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shelly's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipg, MB. And now she dwells where neither doubt nor fear May find her breast; No crying child may now disturb her here Or break her rest. Ended the ache of living. Here she lies In wondrous peace. God left a smile about her lovely eyes With her release. Shellys arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 4665
