PAUL GERHARDT KROEGER Suddenly, on Friday, June 2, 2006 at his residence in Selkirk, Paul Kroeger, aged 80 years, beloved husband of Florence. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Henry and Katherine Kroeger and sister Louise (Karl) Reimer. He is survived by his wife Florence; daughters, Patricia (Peter) Togni of Halifax and Diane (Doran) Reid of Selkirk; son Ken (Cheryl) Kroeger of Montreal; brother Rev. Ernest (Vera) Kroeger; grandchildren, Luke, Anthony, Benedict, Victor, Eric, Kirsty, and Kailen as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Paul met his wife Florence while working at the Selkirk Mental Hospital. They were married in 1956 and raised their children in Selkirk. He worked at the hospital since 1952 and retired in 1983. Paul liked to fish and hunt with his buddies. He enjoyed collecting antiques and going to garage sales. He also loved to travel, often bragging about how he had been to Spain 3 times. Paul loved growing up in Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan., where he was your typical preacher's son, always getting into trouble. He carried his strong faith in God to his death. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 5 at 2:00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (6088 PTH 9A, Selkirk) with Intern Kirk Tastad officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Memorial Fund at Box 448. Selkirk, MB, R1A 2B3. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
