DAVID BAILEY IRVING It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and friend David Bailey Irving on May 31, 2006 at the Grace Hospice. Bailey was born on May 8, 1954 in Winnipeg, MB, the son of David and Cathie Irving (nee Woods). Bailey was predeceased by his mother on April 3, 2006. Left to mourn is his sister Barbara Grisdale (Jim); his brothers, Cameron Irving (Gisela Rempel), Christopher Irving; and his nephews, Anders Land and Andrew Irving. His dear friends, Erin Land, Tim and Debbie Deacon and Earl and Yvette Deobold and their children will miss him dearly. Bailey worked for the CPR for 30 years in a variety of capacities. He took great pleasure in retiring early on March 30, 2006. Bailey was his own man, lived his life on his own terms according to his timetable. Bailey enjoyed riding motorcycles, bike riding, stereo and home theatre, getting together with family and friends. He deeply loved his cats Jippers and Farks two of the most beautiful calicos on earth. If you were luckily enough to know Bailey you would know him to be generous to a fault, to love unconditionally and care about all living creatures. He had the patience and grace of an angel. While battling cancer, Bailey never once complained. He preferred to suffer in silence than voice his discomfort. The family would like to express their heart felt gratitude to Dr. Hutfluss and the incredible staff at the Grace Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Bailey in his final days. In lieu of flowers please send donations to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation . Bailey we love you with all our hearts and will miss you always. Cremation has taken place with the burial to follow. A celebration of Bailey's life will be held for his family and friends.
