Date of Passing: Jun 12, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ALBERT BRENNAN 1920 - 2006 It is with profound sadness that we, the family of William Bill Brennan, announce his passing on June 12, 2006. Dad leaves to mourn his daughter Judith McColm (Gordon); his son Jim Brennan (Diane); his three grandchildren, Karen Hay (Cameron), Scott McColm and Bradley McColm; his two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Marissa Hay. He also is survived by his brother Robert Brennan (Frances), sister Marian MacGarva (Ronald), nieces and nephews, as well as lifelong and recent friends. Dad's first love was his wife of 63 years, Phyllis, whom he greatly missed and mourned after her passing in June 2005. They were deeply devoted to one another. Dad achieved success in business in Montreal, Edmonton and Calgary. The friends and colleagues who became part of his and mom's life were many. Those friendships were always valued and nurtured. We will forever remember that commanding larger than life presence that defined him and the quiet undercurrent of caring for those he loved. The family wishes to thank the staff and residents of The Wellington, who were his friends, supporting him through the recent decline in his health. As well, we thank the caring staff of 5B at St. Boniface Hospital who supported us during his brief stay. Lastly our gratitude is extended to Dr. Kathleen Pickard, whose exemplary care over the past years was remarkable. As per dad's wishes, there will be no service. Friends, should they wish, may donate in his memory to a charity of their choice. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
