ELEANOR HAUSER It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Eleanor Hauser on June 13, 2006 at the Health Sciences Centre. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Sharon (Dave), Greg (Patti), Doug (Christine), Don (Mona); eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Audrey Wheeler and Bernice Wendel and brother Gordon Geisler, as well as several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was born in Winnipeg, MB. She was holidaying in Neudorf, SK with her parents when she met her husband Chris. They were married in the summer of 1941 and enjoyed 44 years together. Eleanor's family was the pride and focus of her life. She had a profound concern for the welfare of those she was acquainted with. One of her most admirable qualities was her ability to unconditionally value and accept others that touched her life. The family wishes to express their appreciation to their mother's friends, neighbours and extended family for their numerous visits, encouragement and gifts of kindness. Sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff on the 7th and 4th floors at the Health Sciences Centre who took excellent care of her. Thanks also to all the home care workers who served her well during her time of need. Eleanor has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Assiniboia / Charleswood Community Church, 760 Charleswood Rd., Winnipeg, MB with Pastor Brian Larmour officiating.
