JOSEPH STANLEY SVALING It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joseph Svaling on June 14, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 76 years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 49 years Maria; his daughters, Debbie (Bruce), Linda and Margaret; and his grandchildren, Kristin and Raquel. Joseph was born in Winnipeg on January 30, 1930, and lived most of his life in the St. Boniface area. He worked as a locomotive engineer for the CNR until his retirement in the mid 1980s. Dad loved classical music and enjoyed good food and drink in the company of friends and family, he also loved spending time with his two very special granddaughters. A celebration of Joseph's life will be held on Tuesday, June 20, at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
