WILLIAM (BILL) CHWAN JR. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of William David Bill Jr. Chwan, on Friday, June 16, 2006, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bill is survived by his children, Leesa Chwan and Jennifer Chwan; two grandchildren, Shannon Chwan and Nathaniel Klassen; parents, William and Mildred Chwan; sister, June Courtland; brothers, Brian (Jill) of California and Daniel Chwan; as well as numerous nieces; nephews; and special friend Gail Turner. On March 23, 1952, Bill was born in Winnipeg to William Sr. and Mildred Chwan. He attended Weston School, Cecil Rhodes and Technical Vocational High School where he graduated in 1970. Bill for many years was employed at ASA Alloys Inc., Sales Dept. He was an avid sports fan and an outdoors person enjoying both watching and playing hockey. Bill will be sadly missed by his family and friends. At Bill's request, no formal funeral service will be held. Our family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Piotr Czaykowski and staff of the Health Sciences Centre and 8A Palliative at the St. Boniface for their care and support in Bill's final days. His merits are noble, and of admirable length. He's far greater than all other men that I know. He's my Dad, he's my mentor, my friend and hero.
