Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWAYNE WALTER KOLEY Wayne, aged 59, peacefully passed away June 19, 2006 at the Victoria Hospice. Wayne is survived by his parents, Walter and Jane; his brother Dave; sisters, Paula (Peter) Ahi, Janice (Bill) Larkin, and Carla (Paul) Cronin, and his nieces and nephews. Wayne will be sorely missed by his many friends, and especially by his best friends Shawn and Mabel You and Bob and Candy Aplin. Wayne was born in Winnipeg on May 7, 1947. He joined the Winnipeg Police Service, and built his dream home on 80 acres of land he purchased near Tyndall, MB, where he planned to raise St. Bernards and Clydesdales. Wayne was active with the Beausejour Lions Club and CNIB. Wayne left the Police Force to join the Federal Government as an investigator for Canada Employment and Immigration and with Industry Canada's Bureau of Competition Policy. One of Wayne's real passions was tropical fish, and for 10 years he was the owner/operator of The Fish Bowl Pet Shop with Irene Horon. In 2000 Wayne moved to Vancouver Island where he embarked on a new career in stock-trading. Wayne loved the island life and especially enjoyed his time with the hiking club in Victoria and with his new friends with whom he traded stocks. Wayne truly believed life could not have gotten any better in Victoria. Wayne will be remembered for his passion for all that life offered, his infectious laughter, his love of nature and for his fighting spirit. A memorial service will be held in Victoria for family and his close friends in Victoria. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Victoria Hospice Foundation in respect of the compassionate care he received there. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
