CATHERINE RUBY FILLION (nee BERTHELETTE) 1940 - 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruby Fillion on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at the Concordia Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Ruby was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Cyprien Barthelette, along with her two sisters, Marie-Dolly and Alvina Backlund. She leaves to mourn her husband of 45 years, Gilles Fillion; her four children, Jackie, Darnell (Debbie), Randy and Cory; grandchildren, Karl, Kayla, Adam, D.J., Amber, Cara and Scott. She also leaves her brother and sister, Lloyd (Jeanette) Barthelette and Diane (Howard) Thurston, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff at the Concordia Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26 also at Desjardins Funeral Chapel.
