GORDON EDWARD FATHERS Born on September 11, 1929, in Winnipeg, MB the proud son of Ted and Marie (nee Vulliez) Fathers passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2006, following a courageous battle with cancer. Gordon was a 40-year resident of Arlington Heights and worked for Misco International Chemicals for 30 years where he served as Vice President and General Manager. He attended Glenlawn Collegiate in Winnipeg and was a member of the Kinsman Club of Canada. Gordon will be remembered for the great love of his family, his dedication to his beautiful flower garden, his compassion for less fortunate Native American children and his love of classic automobiles. Gordon was also an accomplished painter and illustrator. Gordon is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rose (nee Dawn); son, Bruce (Nancy); daughter, Elaine (Steve) (nee Freeze); sister, Joyce of Winnipeg; and grandchildren, Brandon, Connor, Kendal, Claire, Amanda and Brenna. In addition, he was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Pat of Memphis, Tennessee.
