RAYMOND ANGUS BRUNSEL SR. 1920 - 2006 Peacefully, after a courageous struggle on June 23, 2006, Ray passed away at Deer Lodge Centre. Ray will be sadly missed by the love of his life Margaret Mary; son Ray Jr. (Camille); daughter Susan (Frank) Mistelbacher; grandchildren Cory (Candace), Cynthia (Justin), and Brett; great grandchildren Olivia and Macy. Ray will also be missed by his extended family and many friends. Ray was born in Kenora, Ontario on January 14, 1920. He trapped and hunted in the Kenora area until he joined the army in 1941. Ray served in the UK, Mediterranean and Continental Europe until 1945 and then returned to the Keewatin area. He moved to Winnipeg to join his future wife Margaret, whom he was married to for 59 years. Ray worked at Canadian Roger's for 36 years and was well respected by his co-workers. He retired in 1983 to his second love, the cottage on Rice Lake. Ray spent many happy hours boating and walking with his wife. Family was very important to Ray and he loved spending time with his grandchildren at the lake. Ray's sharp wit, strong will, and sense of humour stayed with him until the end. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Center (T5) for their care and support over the last three months. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at 12:30 p.m. with reception and interment to follow.
