Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCY ANN DELARONDE (nee PALMER) Peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2006 at 9:10 a.m., Lucy Delaronde, passed away with her family at her side, at the Selkirk General Hospital. Lucy is survived by her husband Joe; her children, Sandra Howe (Jimmy and Misty), Linda Funk (Tabatha), her son Tommy Hermanson and wife Sharon (Samantha and Michelle (Dominique)), Cindy Skura and husband Bobby (Robert and Trista), granddaughters, Deanna Gabora and husband Kelly (Baby Ryane), Rene Batke (Brittany), stepsons, Joey and Darrel Delaronde, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with her sly sense of humor, Lu enjoyed country music, fishing and garage Sales. We would like to thank our jam session friends for filling her life with music; Also to the Home Care Coordinators for choosing such professional home care workers to care for Lu. Thank you Rhonda Furdyk, Phyllis Hacking, Pat Monkman, Gerry McCauley and Susan Law, who went above and beyond their duties to keep things normal in our home. A special thanks to Dr.Lindenschmidt, and the Selkirk General Hospital nursing staff for being patient with me, my family and Lu, during her many extended visits over the years. Lucy's family would like to extend a special thank you to Helen Walker and Bunty Bakker for their kind support. Also, thank you to John and Maxine Ingalls for their past, present and future spiritual help. As per Lu's wishes, she requested no funeral service, and that her remains be donated to science research, after which time they will be placed to rest with her father, James Palmer. A Farewell Coffee Party will be held from 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 28, at the Selkirk Lutheran Hall, 332 Manitoba Ave. (across from the Safeway store). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association and/or the Cancer Society of Canada.
