Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNETTE HIGHAM (nee DUREAULT) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the loss of our dear mother, Annette Higham, on Friday, June 23, 2006 after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ed in 2001, her parents, brothers, Gil, Mars and her sister Phyllis. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Jackie (Lynn), Ted (Sandy) and Tim; and her precious grandchildren, Samantha, Eric, Natasha and Christian. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, Armand Dureault (Simone), Gerry Dureault (Barb), Ida Sulkers (Leonard), Dolores Dupas (Emile) and Eleanor Dureault and our dear friend Barry Bradley. Also cherishing her memory are Ed's family Joyce and Fred Bayes, Claire and Roly Michaud and Guy Higham and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Mom was an excellent gardener, avid crossword puzzler, and read three books a week. As a young woman she taught school, grades 1-12, worked as a bookkeeper and an accountant, then took on her most fulfilling job raising her family and volunteering with the St. Bernadette Church. She will reign in our hearts forever and with all those who were touched by her. A truly beautiful person gifted with so many talents. She worked tirelessly raising her three children- a proud testament of human strength, courage and tenacity. She was a strong woman guided by firm principles and faith and admired by all who knew her. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 28, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Rd. with viewing one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations in Annette's memory may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation, #6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Room ON 1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
