Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECILIA HOPE KNIGHT 1920 - 2006 Peacefully on June 22, 2006 and surrounded by family, Celia embarked on the final stage of her life's journey. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 62 years, Tim, her four children, ten grandchildren and four great grandsons. Memories of her life and accomplishments will be held dear by her children; Victoria, Lesley, Tim and Bill. Celia was born in Rotherham, Yorkshire on December 13, 1920 and in 1946 came to Canada as a war bride. Celia was proud of her British heritage and instilled this in her children. Celia was a founding member of the Manitoba War Brides Association and served as president for ten years. One of the greatest gifts she left us was her autobiography entitled Never A Dull Moment . The family wishes to thank the caring and thoughtfulness of the staffs of Lion's Prairie Manor and the Portage General Hospital. In lieu of flowers Celia would have appreciated donations to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, c/o 103 Wilkinson Crescent, Portage La Prairie, MB, R1N 1A7. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, June 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Portage la Prairie, followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Ronald Moffit Memorial Services of Portage la Prairie, 204-856-3487.
