PAMELA YVONNE WAVER February 11, 1961 - June 29, 2006 Our beloved sister and friend Pamela, aged 45 years, spread her wings to be with God after a courageous battle with cancer. Pamela was predeceased by her mother Marie Waver and father Bruce Waver and her nephews, Tyson Winko and Troy Isfeld. She leaves behind to cherish her and memories of her, brothers, Tom (Sharon), Mike (Gail) and Dave (Heather) and sisters, Barbara Dion, Elizabeth Homeniuk (Dennis), Marilyn Isfeld (Charlie), Susanna Winko (Gary) and April Thogersen (Soren). She also leaves many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her aunt Joyce Shepherd. Pamela had many friends and co-workers who will also miss her dearly. Pamela was born in Winnipeg, the second youngest of nine children. She was raised in Winnipeg Beach where she attended Winnipeg Beach Elementary School, then later graduated from Gimli High School. After graduation, Pamela returned to live in Winnipeg where she worked at the Manitoba Clinic in pediatrics. Pamela then spent the major part of her career as an Executive Assistant with the Lions Club of Winnipeg Housing Centres. Pamela was also involved for many years with a professional National Hot Rod Top Alcohol Dragster team along the NHRA circuit. This was a very exciting sideline apart from her career and many lasting friendships came of this. Pamela was a person who looked to the future and always found the good in people. She always thought of others before herself and lit up a room with her smile. Pamela's family would like to thank Dr. Simcoff of Selkirk, for going above and beyond the call , the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital, Allison Mah and Al Davies for helping Pamela establish her education fund which meant so much to her, and Jill for being the best a friend can be. A special thanks to Finnegan for never leaving her side and Deborah and Ken for helping meet her spiritual needs. As per Pamela's wishes she left this world to be with the Lord at her home in East Selkirk with her family by her side. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Ken Delisle officiating. In lieu of flowers an endowment fund has been established. Please make donations to The Pamela Waver Palliative Care Educational Award Fund in care of St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation, Room D1 003, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. FORGET ME NOT HOW GRATEFUL MY HEART TO HAVE BEEN WITH YOU EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE Pamela Waver Pam, we hope there is a lot of white out in Heaven, and a cafe latte waiting for you when you get there. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
