DREW ALEXANDER OLSON Suddenly, on Sunday, July 2, 2006, Drew Olson passed away. Drew will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his parents, Mark and Leslie; brother Kevin and sister Laura; grandparents, Hazel and Albert Olson and Don and Donna Leech; aunts and uncles, Brenda (Chris) Beck, Diane (Tony) Vanderhyde, Christa (Jeff) Harder, Michael (Pat) Leech, Jon (Marion) Leech, Paul Leech and his fiance Patti and David (Arlene) Leech numerous cousins and his special friend Michaela. Drew was born July 8, 1988 in Winnipeg. He attended St. Paul's High School, where he graduated this spring. Drew spent all his summers at Pelican Lake with Kevin and Laura, as well as his many cousins and lake friends. Sharing the Lake Life with his family and friends was very important to him. Drew's adventurous spirit was evident in his love of travelling which allowed him to explore new places and meet new friends. He had a gift making a connection with people of all ages, and enjoyed sharing and learning from them. Those connections will go a long way to keep Drew's memory alive. Drew cherished and loved his friends very much, and the family is thankful for their thoughts, presence and prayers during this difficult time. He will be missed by all the people who knew and loved him. Many thanks to our dear families and our wonderful friends for everything they have done and continue to do for our family - Thank You. We would also like to thank the St. Paul's High School community and especially Father Smith, S.J., for his tremendous strength and support to our family and to Drew's friends at this very difficult time. The family would like to thank the many professionals who cared for Drew and brought him home. A prayer vigil to celebrate Drew's life, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, at St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford St. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, also at St. Ignatius Church. A reception will follow. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca. Drew had a deep love for his family pets and with that in mind, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 would be appreciated. Donations to the St. Paul's High School Kairos Endowment Fund, 2200 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 0P8, are also welcome.
