Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) FREDERICK CAMERON After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Robert (Bob) Cameron, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2006, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 82 years. Remaining to mourn and cherish Bob's memory are his loving wife Lenora; son Grant; daughters, Pat and Sandra; son-in-law Larry; grandchildren, Chad, Leslie, Monica, Kirsten and Scott; and one brother, Barry of Calgary, AB. Bob was born on June 20, 1924, at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. He lived in Manitou, MB until he joined the Air Force and obtained his pilot's wings in August, 1943. Bob served in the Air Force until 1945. He worked as a film projectionist until 1951 at the Winkler Theatre where he met his wife of nearly 55 years, Lenora. In 1951, Bob returned to the Air Force and was stationed at Winnipeg, Edmonton, Ottawa, and Rivers, MB. Bob was discharged from the Air Force in 1957 and went to fly for two years with Trans Air. In 1959, he took a job with the Ministry of Transport where he worked as a Civil Aviation Inspector. In total, Bob served with the Government of Canada for 37 years, retiring in 1987. On Friday, July 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., Bob's funeral service will be held in Lutheran Church Of The Redeemer, 59 Academy Road at Wellington Crescent, with Pastor James Scholz officiating. Our family would like to extend special thanks to the staff on the 6th floor South of the St. Boniface General Hospital for their constant care and compassion. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, a donation in Bob's memory may be made to Canadian Lutheran World Relief, 1080 Kingsbury Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2P 1W5, or to a charity of one's choice.
