Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREJS MEISTERS It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Andrejs on July 13, 2006 at the age of 79 years into the hands of our Lord. Andrejs is lovingly remembered by his wife Livija; along with sons, Ronald (Lillian), Peter (Wendy) and grandchildren, Meghan, Carly, Tristan and Persis. Andrejs was born December 5, 1926 in Smiltene, Latvia. He married the love of his life Livija, and together with son Ronald came to Canada in 1953. Soon son Peter was born and they spent many happy years together raising the boys. Andrejs worked at Dominion Bridge as a technical draftsman and finished his career at Manitoba Hydro. He spent many happy hours at his art table where he produced numerous pieces of beautiful artwork. Andrejs was also an accomplished photographer. Beside his wife Andrejs next greatest love was classical music, especially the music of Vienna. Andrejs will be missed by many friends both here in Canada and back home. A celebration of Andrejs life will be held Monday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, presided by Dr. Egil Grislis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Cross Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church c/o Ojars Radovskis, 97 Lennox Ave., Winnipeg, R2M 1B1, or a charity of one's choice.
