BRUCE JAMES ROBINSON (HEADMAN) September 28, 1948 - July 14, 2006 Peacefully on Friday July 14, Bruce passed away at Victoria General Hospital. Bruce was predeceased by his parents Frank and Chris Robinson and girlfriend Joanne. He is survived by Sharon (Rodger), Frances (Greg), Leslie (Larry), Lyle (Val), Colleen (Craig) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Bruce was a very special person. He was so good in sports and his knowledge of this was strong to the end. Bruce's good friend Greg Townsend could testify to this. Thanks Bruce for buying us our first Beatles 45 and for making us jealous of the clothes you wore. All who knew him found goodness. He shall be missed. Thank you also to his good friends at 817 Main Street. Special thanks to everyone at the I.C.U, Victoria General Hospital. Your great care and kindness will never be forgotten. Farewell to Bruce will take place July 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Scandinavia Cemetery just East of Erickson. XOXO

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • It is with regret that I hear of Bruce's passing. I have fond memories of our great times at Northwood, the Grey Cup and Stanley Ccup quality (in our young minds!) street hockey and football games we used to passionately play in front of the Robinson house.. anyone who talked about Bruce, did it with concern for someone who they really cared for. In his own way, Bruce was a north end legend. I would love to be at the Lincoln to hear some of the hundreds of Bruce Robinson stories that will be told.... my condolences to the family. - Posted by: JOHN FREEMAN (Friend) on: Jul 23, 2006

  • Bruce will be fondly remembered by all. I saw him at the Sisler re-union & danced with him. I will always have good memories of when we were all kids & Bruce came to the house. Mom always had a soft spot in her heart for him, as did the rest of us. I was so sad to hear that he had passed away. Please accept my deepest condolences. Apparently his friends are getting together to celebrate his life at the "good old" neighbourhood watering hole, the Lincoln. I've asked Greg to lift a glass for me. He'll be missed!!!!! - Posted by: Lesley Townsend (Hazlehurst) (Friend) on: Jul 20, 2006
