Date of Passing: Jul 18, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORA FAVELL-SUTHERLAND 1924 2006 With shattered spirits, comforted only by God's love and promise of Eternal life, we the family, inform friends that our mother Dora Favell-Sutherland left us to join our dad on the evening of Tuesday, July 18, 2006. Mother leaves to forever cherish her life, her husband Andrew Sutherland; seven children, Sheila (Norman) Kipling, Ron (Anita) Favell, Lynda Ilies, Dorey (Vina) Favell, Marge Favell, Susan (Lloyd) Long and Faye (Dennis) Cochrane. She will be treasured and remembered for her unconditional love by her 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by one foster daughter, brothers, sisters and extended family. We are thankful for the many years God allowed us to spend with our Mother. Her tender, gentle spirit will remain with us always. Our lives and memories are filled with the many precious times we shared as a family. Always the perfectionist, Mother could turn a weed filled plot into the most beautiful garden. She loved her flowers and we can see her now walking through God's garden. Mother celebrated her 82nd birthday on May 5th. She lived in Peguis all her life and until her retirement worked as a cook; first at the old Fisher River Hospital, then the Percy. E. Moore Hospital and finally at the Peguis Personal Care Home. Prayers will be held at the Peguis Senior Centre on Friday, July 21, at 6:00 p.m. Wake service the same evening at 8:00 p.m. at the Peguis Wesleyan Methodist Church. Funeral is on Saturday, July 22, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Reverends Jim Anderson and Ron Favell officiating. Internment will follow at the Church Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the Church Hall. Our deepest appreciation to the Staff of the Peguis Senior Centre and Percy. E. Moore Hospital for all their kindness. When I get where I am going, there'll be only happy tears, I'll leave my heart wide open; I will love and have no fear, When I get where I am going, Don't cry for me down there. When I get where I am going and I see my Maker's face I'll stand forever in the light of His amazing grace.
