Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDR. ROHITSINGH (ROY) NARRANDES It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, our guide, our protector, Dr. Rohitsingh (Roy) Narrandes on July 18, 2006 at the Health Sciences Centre. He passed in the early hours of the morning with his family by his side. Dr. Narrandes was born in Ladysmith, Natal, South Africa on December 16, 1947. He graduated from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland in 1973. In 1987, he immigrated to Canada with his family, and they have been living in Winnipeg for almost 18 years. Specializing in geriatrics, Dr. Narrandes had a love for internal medicine and worked at St. Boniface General Hospital, Riverview Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, and Jain Medical Clinic. He loved his work and was very dedicated to his patients. He also loved to tell stories; he loved to travel the world and show it to his family, and he loved to meet new friends, helping and welcoming anyone. Dr. Narrandes greeted and conversed with all who walked by him, not excluding anyone. He was a wonderful husband, an outstanding father, and a loving family man, always taking care of everyone else and ensuring their happiness. Those who knew him know how remarkably unique, outgoing, and forever kind he was. Dr. Narrandes will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Roshnie (Rosh); sons, Jashaansingh and Zandhirsingh; daughters, Renira and Shavira; brothers, Mansingh, Rawalduthsingh, Moharsingh; sister Neerodevi Anil; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, colleagues, patients, and numerous close friends from around the world. He will be joining his father Parthabsingh; mother Dayawanthee Singh; brothers, Chandrapalsingh, Dharamduthsingh; sister Premilladevi Singh; and other relatives. Our sincere appreciation to all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre emergency and SICU units, Dr. N. Jain, Dr. M. Jain, Mr. and Mrs. Ram Agrawal, Dr. and Mrs. Berrington, Denny Elliott, Mr. and Dr. Baidwan, Sensei Kim Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. V. Mistry, and too many other friends to mention.
